It’s the story of a meeting: “I stopped in a village called Cortona, in Tuscany, where on the square I noticed a shop run by a “nona”, a grandmother, who sold umbrellas and hats. She just called her store “Umbrelli & Cappelli”. The name of this line is a tribute to her, because it respects the spirit of the craftsman, a work well done…”
Albert Goldberg told us.
It means that tradition is respected. The umbrellas are handmade, with wooden handles and leather (saddle stitched). A big selection of colors is available.
About the hats: they are made in an ancestral factory, located in Biella (Piémont, Italy). Tissues are made with hand-selected hare and rabbit hair and are assembled on wooden models (centuries old), and are “washed” by pure water coming directly from the mountains surrounding the city. |
